Sareh Rowlands is a Senior Lecturer in Data Science, specialising in computer vision and machine learning. Her interest in environmental intelligence leads her to explore the intersection of machine learning and computer vision in analysing ecological data, from classifying species in camera trap images to mapping habitats and exploring ecological structures. In collaboration with Intelligent AI, Sareh leads a project aimed at extracting geometric information from satellite imagery to estimate insurance values for buildings. This partnership combines cutting-edge technology with practical applications, addressing real-world challenges in collaboration with industry experts.
